Decatur County will be accepting applications for the position of “Office Manager Trainee.” Qualified applicants must have a high school diploma, or GED equivalent. Experience in business administration and/or accounting and familiarity with computer systems and programs is desirable. Applicants must have good communication skills.
The Office Manager Trainee will train directly under the Office Manager for the next 9-12 months. The Trainee will gradually take on increasing amounts of responsibility throughout the training period. Upon a successful training period, the Trainee will be moved to the Office Manager position. Willingness to learn is an absolute requirement.
Job duties will include, but are not limited to, the following: clerical work, communication with the public and employees, accounting (inventory, budget preparation, budget reports, payroll, etc.), and performing personnel related duties.
