School Election News - Absentee Voting is now open
Posted Date:
8/21/2015
The ballots have been received, so Absentee voting is now open.

Absentee voting in person:  A registered voter can vote an absentee ballot in person at the Auditor's Office during normal courthouse hours (M-F 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 8.  PLEASE NOTE:  The Decatur County Courthouse will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

Absentee voting by mail:

A voter can request an absentee ballot to be sent by mail by first completing an absentee ballot request form, which is also available by calling us at 641/446-4323.  The request form must be received by the Auditor's Office by 5:00 p.m. Friday, September 4.  After receiving the request form, we will mail the voter a ballot.  Absentee ballots postmarked by the Saturday before the election (due to Labor Day) or earlier and received before the county canvass are considered to be on time to be counted.
