While the Decatur County Courthouse remains closed to the public until further notice, voters who opt to cast an absentee ballot in-person will be able to do so, by appointment, at the former dispatch window on the first floor of the courthouse. Voters will need to call 641/446-4323 and are encouraged to complete the absentee ballot request form ahead of time, a supply of which are located just inside the north entrance of the courthouse, as well as from any of the following sources:

In-person absentee voting is available during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) and on Saturday, May 30, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The deadline for in-person absentee voting is 5:00 p.m., Monday, June 1.
A voting booth will be available for the voter to mark his/her ballot; or the voter may opt to use the ADA compliant ballot marking device. Voters CANNOT take the ballot home.
